Microchips
By: Becky
Schwab
Do you ever wonder how you
can be a more proactive pet owner? Have you ever lost anything…keys,
money, pen? Would your household be empty without your beloved
pet? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you should
microchip your pet today.
HomeAgain microchips have now
improved their program. Here is how their proactive approach works,
first you call to report your missing pet. HomeAgain actively
works to find, identify and return the lost pet. They have pet
rescuers, posters, 24/7 service, along with notifying local veterinarians,
clinics, and shelters. Please contact Richland Veterinary Service,
LLC for more information about this amazing program.

OraVet
By: Becky Schwab
A pet’s bad breath may be
more serious than an aesthetic problem. Bad breath may be a sign
of bacteria attacking your pet’s teeth and gums. It may indicate
periodontal disease, one of the most common conditions affecting dogs
and cats.
Periodontal disease is caused
by the buildup of bacteria in the plaque that forms on the surface of
the teeth. These bacteria can lead to gingivitis. Periodontal
disease can progress to destroy the gums and tissues that support the
teeth, which may result in the loosening – and eventual loss – of
the teeth.
Richland Veterinary Service,
LLC now carries a new product called OraVet. After a dental cleaning,
OraVet helps prevents plaque and tarter from building up on your pet’s
teeth. It just takes a simple weekly application, which you can
do at home. Ask us for more information to help your pet’s dental
health.
